How we
approach it.
- 01
Site walk
30 to 45 minutes on-site. We look at slope, drainage, soil, and where you actually use the space. Anything sketchy gets flagged before we quote.
- 02
Tiered proposal
Three options at three price points. The differences are paver brand, base depth, and edge detail, with every line itemised so you know what you're paying for.
- 03
Build
Excavation, base, pavers. Usually inside a week. We tarp and protect the work area and keep your driveway accessible where possible.
- 04
Joints + final pass
Polymeric joint sand swept and water-activated. One last compaction pass to seat the pavers. Walkthrough with you before we leave.

Quick answers
How many steps before I need a handrail?
Four risers and up requires a handrail in BC. Three or fewer don't, but we still recommend one on any wet-prone path.
Can you re-do existing stairs?
Yes. Usually a full strip and rebuild, since old stairs almost always have inconsistent rises that don't meet code. We can match heritage looks while bringing the structure current.
Lighting?
Strip lighting under each tread or low-voltage path lighting along the side. We pre-wire during the build; switch is at the door or photo-cell automatic.
